“The year was 1965. A small group of us from the University of Florida formed the University City Sport Parachute Club based out of Kay Larkin Field in Palatka, FL. The late Dave Henson and Bob Ph
Ellison both took a shot of me at the same time. The plan was for me to pretend to be a student too scared to let go but I was smiling too much to achieve that goal.”

“The last jump at the Gulch was an SCR load on May 2nd 1976, for Sandra Carlin, just stopped in from Chicago.
On the load; BT, Melroy, Farmer, Sandra Carlin, Nevada, Luginbill, Dugan (pilot), Deluca, Captain, Sheldon, Schaffer and Sanders. Moon; Baker.
An impromptu game of softball followed that jump then we all ended up at Deluca’s apartment complex and pool.
